Few notes for visitors, as i myself like to read for information; Montreux is on hills, take into consideration that even if close to the lake, the path can be steep and not convenient for everyone by foot. there is a bus to use of course. the apartment has a bedroom and living room where there is sofa that you can open for additional 2 people, but in my opinion, the sofa is good for children, less for adults, possible to sleep but not ideal.

Our room was a great size, very quiet, comfy and also included a good breakfast. Nernier itself is quite small, but the waterfront is perfect to place to relax late afternoon and have a swim. Yvoire is just down the road, and can be walked to. Eric was a fantastic host as well, and was always on hand if you needed anything - thank you!

A continental breakfast is available at the homestay. My wife and I had the best experience staying at the Le Chalett des 3 Ours. It is situated in a very convenient area just 20 minutes walk away from the lake and the city. It was great to walk down and climb up on return for our daily exercise. The host Agnes was charming, welcoming, and always available to help. She made us feel very comfortable as if we were in our own house. The chalet was very clean, has great decor, and is comfortable with high-class amenities. She prepared a good breakfast with a variety of choices.

Le Cottage is like a home from home - beautiful, spacious and bright bedroom, with a large window equipped with fine mesh netting to keep insects out (so you can have the lights on in the evening without getting invaded) and a roller shutter that can be adjusted to your liking. Very comfortable bed (can be either twins or super king size) and quality bedding, fantastic storage facilities. The room benefits from its own private large bathroom, full of light, with 2 basins, a bath and large shower cubicle, with plenty of space to store toiletries and personal belongings. The property is located at the end of a private cul-de-sac, which is extremely quiet, with plenty of car park facilities and within easy walking distance (exactly 0.49 mile/800m as measured from my AppleWatch!) from the centre of Vésenaz that offers a wide choice of shops, restaurants and facilities. Most importantly, the host is lovely, welcoming and helpful- making you feel totally at home - so altogether, I had a fantastic stay - thank you very much for everything !
