Close to a bus stop and out of the city so it’s quiet. Really nice host who has travelled the world and speaks perfect English. Highly recommended!

The bedding was comfortable and the breakfast was sumptuous. The host was was thoughtful and when she noticed my young child was not eating much of the food, she prepared another sandwich for her. She also made an effort to share the stories behind some of the figurines she gave the kids using the translator. We had a great time!

Offering an open-air bath and mountain view, Yufuin Sunday is situated in Yufu, 46 km from Crasus Dome Oita and 2.9 km from Kinrinko Lake. The accommodation has a private open-air bath. We had a great stay at Yufuin Sunday. It was so clean, neat and peaceful. We enjoyed the private onsen and beautiful views of Yufuin mountains. During our stay, there were two more groups staying in the house so we took turns using the onsen. The staff member who picked us up from the JR station was very friendly, polite and thoughtful. The host is hospitable, attentive and detail-oriented. He puts in a lot of efforts to keep this place welcoming and comfortable. I would highly recommend it!

Pension Yufuin prides itself on an outdoor public hot-spring bath featuring large rocks, that’s unique in Oita. It also offers a garden, a terrace and free WiFi at the lobby. An unbelievably helpful host and a beautiful location in lovely Yufuin made this one of the most memorable places that we stayed at in Japan. Highly recommended!
