Convenient location, accessible by tram (Chinatown station), not far to the main tourist destinations, and walkable from Nagasaki station (~15 mins). Room was clean and well-maintained overall. Washing machine and dryer are available to use at a reasonable price. Instructions for usage are clear and easy to follow. The reception / working area offers good views of Dejima and the Nakashima River. I particularly liked their self serve filtered coffee, it’s a nice unique perk that not many guest houses offer.

The owners gave me some really good tips for traveling the island. The beds are also surprisingly comfy (for a dorm), and everything is really clean. Beautiful view outside. The host was so thoughtful in the way he arranged the house and prepared useful items for our stay in the house. From a drying rack/laundry clips, to cooking utensils and various sauces and condiments, to additional bedding, we had everything we needed.

It is very clean, lovingly and tastefully furnished. Every detail has been thought of, and the location is excellent. The hostess is very charming, extremely kind and helpful, and above all, very attentive. The fantastic breakfast and her incredibly helpful tips gave us an unforgettable stay.

The air-conditioned accommodation is 20 km from Huis Ten Bosch, and guests can benefit from on-site private parking and complimentary... knowing the way of a traditional country house the experience was better than I thought. The location is great and the close towns around are just a walk away. If you like walking, its your place. The serenity , quietness and peace all around are stunning. We could feel the love put into the house during its remodeling. Admiring the way to stay as close as possible to original materials and way of building it. The living room is great and wants you to stay overlooking the rice patties all day long.

The decor is impeccable—calm, cozy, and soothing—so it feels like the house itself is Manami: thoughtful and kind. Every detail has been considered: a comfortable tatami bedroom with soft, plush mattress and linens, a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and even a little mini-spa corner to unwind. There are two toilets (a rare convenience in Japan) and the location is great for exploring. Manami helped us rent e-bikes and gave us wonderful day-trip plans and cultural insights we would never have discovered on our own. Staying here felt like touching the true spirit of old Japan while enjoying modern comforts. For us, it was a dream place. If you value kindness, authenticity, and quiet beauty, book Oteragoto—you’ll feel Manami’s heart in every corner. She truly deserves all the guests who will love this place as much as we did. 10/10. Located within 38 km of Peace Park and 39 km of Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, Yukinoura Guest House Moritaya features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Saikai. I didn’t expect a house this big and equipped. I was welcomed so caring and friendly and got help with everything I needed plus many more opportunities and offers for day trips and food options. I could even use the sounds system with their vinyls and the piano they have (really good sound!). Also, I cooked for myself in the evening with food I got in a supermarket of the next city. For a daytrip I rented an e-bike and went to the local waterfall (i was alone there!!) and to the sound shower museum, which I can highly recommend. Owner and staff are incredibly friendly and warm hearted.

The traditional japanese style room was small but tidy and comfortable, with a pretty view on the water. The owner is very friendly and prepares tasty meals, both breakfast and dinner are recommended.
