Situated in Naoshima in the Kagawa region, with Hachiman Shrine and Ando Museum nearby, Yellow House features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We had a fantastic stay at yellow house. The room was spacious, clean and beds comfortable. The shower was very good too. The hosts were very helpful and kind, allowing us to leave our bags after check out and arranging transport to the port on our departure day. They also left bananas and water in the room which were appreciated! The location of the House is great - right by the water and an easy walk to the Ando Museum and Art House area, but also just half an hour walk to the Benesse / Chichu side of the island. There are also good restaurants and coffee shops / cafes short walks from the House. We had a great stay here and would really recommend staying at Yellow House!

Situated in Takamatsu and only 300 metres from Kitahamaebisu Shrine, Kitahama Sumiyoshi features accommodation with inner courtyard views, free WiFi and free private parking. One of the most memorable stays! We had the whole house to ourselves, making it such a special experience in a traditional Japanese home. The beautiful Japanese garden within the house ground added to the overall charm. The futon bed and pillow were very comfortable. The kitchen had basic utensils like plates and cutlery, but it was not meant for cooking as there were no pots or pans. Coffee and small bread biscuits were provided. Free parking. Highly recommended.

Set in Shodoshima, 16 km from Cycad at Seiganji Temple, Sen Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a shared lounge. The hosts and other guests were very friendly and the accommodation is in a beautiful (albeit a little inconvenient to get to) location. The breakfast they offer is also delicious.

Providing quiet street views and a garden, Sparky’s House offers accommodation conveniently situated in Naoshima, within a short distance of Naoshima Christ Church, Sumiyoshi-taisha Temple and... Amazing staff, so helpful and friendly. Super clean, thoughtful touches like fresh flowers in vases, extra tea and coffee etc. Close to a lot of what the land has to offer but still lovely and quiet. Comfy beds, and e-bikes :)

ゲストハウスまりん, a property with a garden, is set in Higashikagawa, 33 km from Shiraha Shrine, 34 km from Matsui Shrine, as well as 34 km from Yakurishion Christ Church. Older, but clean and cosy authentic japanese house. It felt like a visit to grandma’s home. Also the owner was very nice lady. Just everything we were looking for - something authentic, away from tourists and big cities. The town and its people are also very welcoming.
