400 metres from Otaru Station, Guest House 来夢 is a recently renovated property situated in Otaru and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The hosts are nice, open minded, enthusiastic and show great hospitality. They went even farther with me than the extra mile. I would rate 11/10 if it was possible.

Located in Date in the Hokkaido region, Guest House Yamada provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. We came to Hokkaido to snowboard at Niseko/Rusutsu in February, and this place was a wonderful cozy home stay for our trip! You definitely need a car to get here, and it's about an 1hr drive to either ski resort. However, despite the distance, the place was really warm and clean, and the hosts made us feel at home. Every day they provided a variety of breakfast and coffee, cleared snow off our car, checked in on us to see if we made it to the nearby onsen for our evening baths, and even had laundry. There are mini heaters in the room that are powerful enough to keep the room warm, and the blankets provided are so comfy! The hosts themselves are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here!!

Guesthouse Erimo Apartment, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Sapporo, 11 km from Shin-Sapporo Station, 23 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center, as well as 40 km from Otaru Station. Mr. Takashi was an excellent host. He do care about the customers and maintained the flat great. The flat was in a quiet, safe area and sparkling clean. It’s about 5 minutes away from station by walk and surrounded with supermarkets and tasty restaurants with good prices. Washing machines and dryers were helpful for my 2 weeks stay. Especially AC in summer, it’s a spot light. If I back Sapporo, I will stay here again.

Shooting Star the Bed & Breakfast offers a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 5.3 km of Furano Station and 11 km of Windy Garden. The property is located in a very picturesque location where you can see field and mountain, and no tall buildings in the surrounding area. The breakfast they provide is simple but excellent. It is very serene and the owners are keeping a very nice property. We recommend this for those who are looking for a quick quiet getaway, far from the hustling, bustling and noise.

Boasting inner courtyard views, Opopo home 竜宮店 features accommodation with patio, around less than 1 km from Otaru Station. Loved this little secluded guest house in Otaru. Warm and cosy and clean. It met all our expectations. We were not after a 5 hotel experience, but wanted a nice comfortable bed. Staff were terrific, bed comfortable and the whole guest house just had a friendly feel. Even the non attached showers and toilets just seemed to match the cosy feel.

Offering quiet street views, Pirka Sapporo is an accommodation located in Sapporo, 2.7 km from Sapporo Station and 12 km from Shin-Sapporo Station. The owners were some of the best people I've met. They are so warm and friendly. The place itself is very clean and well organized. Free miso soup, tea, and coffee in the common area was also very welcomed! There's even a bathtub for those who prefer that over a shower. Very well recommended for anyone to stay!
