A very nice quiet place in the old streets of a small settlement. The way to the old town is along a hiking trail with steps and a wonderful view of the lake and Maccagno. There is a small garden. Excellent parking. There are always fresh products for a hearty breakfast. Many thanks to the hospitable and helpful host and staff.

Situated in Cannobio and only 17 km from Piazza Grande Locarno, Suite Arianna features accommodation with inner courtyard views, free WiFi and free private parking. The suite was spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with every detail needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to the lake that we were travelling to the next morning. Most importantly, the host was incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive, making me feel truly welcomed.

Set in Arona, 25 km from Borromean Islands, Affittacamere La Quiete offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The apartment was lovely, well (and seemed newly) equipped and very clean, we liked the balcony. Tatiana, the host, and her husband were kind and helpful. Can't recommend this place enough.

Offering a shared lounge and quiet street view, Cavaedium Guest House is located in Arona, 39 km from Busto Arsizio Nord and 40 km from Monastero di Torba. The location and rooms were beautiful! Deborah and her husband went out of their way to welcome us and help with our luggage. Would definitely recommend and hope to return for a longer stay.

Generous breakfast, very nice garden with swimming pool, calm, proximity to both lake Major and Orta. The hosts are friendly, they chat easily if you want, and can give advice on activities or destinations.

Al San Michele features rooms in Stresa. It is set 1.8 km from Borromean Islands and offers free WiFi plus luggage storage space. Central position, only a few minutes from the main square shops, restaurants and the port and bus stop. Still, it is quiet and peaceful. The room (the whole building) is newly refurbished, tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. The owner, Marisa was very kind and helpful all the time.

Boasting mountain views, Guesthouse Giulietta e Romeo features accommodation with balcony, around 17 km from Borromean Islands. The hosts are amazing, very welcoming and helpful! The house is beautiful and we really loved the village of Cossogno. Recommended for sure. The room was tidy and nice with an own balcony, and we slept like babies in the bed. Cossogno is really cute with old stone houses. There's a nice path through the village on tiny alleys to see the Roman bridge and stream. You can walk other way via crucis above the village. There's a nice local restaurant 100m away and the hosts can make a reservation for you. Tip: you don't have to order antipasto, primo and secondo, we were really stuffed after 2,5 dishes and couldn't finish everything.
