Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. Spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing and they catered for both vegan and gluten intolerance. The linen was great and all facilities were clean and new. The hosts were friendly and always available. I recommend that anyone that stays there goes to the Windmill Inn only 100m down the road for a meal. Lovely garden and next to a petrol station and shop if you need to buy any basics.

Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. amazing location. Wonderful breakfast. rooms are big enough and modern. The hotel is walking distance from the city center. new owners. will definitely come back.

Perfectly located on a gorgeous and quiet street, with their own parking spaces. It's just one short block from all of the shops in Windermere, and a great hike to the lookout point for the views. Hop in your car for a short journey to the lake and more shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated, quiet, and inviting for a night in with a glass of wine in the lobby. The breakfast was lovely too, and the staff were very friendly. Loved all of the details in the room and the property. If you're interested in less touristy food, it's only a 30 minute drive to Ambleside, which has some fantastic restaurants and less tourists.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Everything was exceptional. The beds are really comfortable, the staff are super lovely, and breakfast is delicious.

The Log House is located in Ambleside, 16 km from Lake Windermere, 29 km from Derwentwater Lake, as well as 34 km from Muncaster Castle. Perfected place to stay, was so clean and amazing views! Only a 5 minute walk into the centre, was so lovely!
