The location is beautiful , at a river and 10 minutes by car from the park entrance. The tents are cosy, clean and with a beautiful porch. The staff is superfriendly and very concerned to meet all their guests needs, always providing fresh water and petrol lights for the night. The boat trip and the night walk they offer for free were very informative snd interesting. The food was amazing and served in s gorgeous atmosphere under the palm trees, surrounded by fires an torches. The 12 hour safari they arranged for us was perfectly organized, with breakfast and lunch they prepared for us. Thanks to all the staff for this wonderful experience while staying with you.

The unit offers 2 beds. Located 15 km from Udawalawe National Park, Mango Safari Camping Udawalawe is in Udawalawe and features a garden and a terrace. Your totally absorbed by the nature! You can totally relax with the sounds of nature all around you. The staff were fantastic and always ready to help answer any questions including “what bird is that” x 20. The staff were patient and knowledgeable and they made my experience amazing!!

Situated in Udawalawe, 17 km from Udawalawe National Park, Kottawatta River Bank Resort features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Everything! Kottawatta surprised us at every turn; from the cold facial towels upon entry to the poolside drinks to an amazing curry for dinner. As a plus, the room was extremely comfortable. Our safari organized through the hotel was exceptional!

Offering river views, this fan-cooled tent has a private entrance, seating area and extra large bed with spring mattress. It includes a hot water shower, towel and shoe racks. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I even left my headphones in the room and the staff found them and organised a taxi to come and drop them off for me. Classy stuff. The room and location were lovely, super clean and we loved the pool. Breakfast and dinner were decent and everything was done with a smile. Highly recommend and the price is great!

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage. The property is gorgeous and very natural. There are no eye-sores, everything is very blended with nature. The two swimming pools were really lovely and the restaurant buffet dinners were delicious. The best part was the general manager who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. He engaged with our kids and made sure they stayed busy with basketball, volleyball, arranged a village walk across the river, and made special arrangements on our safari to celebrate my son's birthday. He was like a traditional hotel general manager who treats everybody like his personal guest. It's a really special place and definitely a great base for visiting both Udawalawe and Yala parks.

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. The place was really awesome. We had a great time with family.

This ecolodge was enjoyable for my children, husband and myself. The tents were roomy and had flushing toilets and warm showers. The dinners were elegant on white tablecloth under the stars. The safari guide and driver did an excellent job pointing out elephant herds, birds and crocodiles at this park. I recommend this lodge.

Offering a barbecue and views of the garden, River Glamping by Gaga bees is located in Udawalawe in the Ratnapura District Region, 8 km from Udawalawe National Park. What a wonderful hidden gem! This property was beautiful and FULL of life. You could hear how alive the jungle is. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. There was a big rain storm when we arrived, making it difficult to get up the road, but they helped our driver. The room was unique and our kids enjoyed the property. The food was out of this world. Definitely request dinner when you arrive. You can truly tell how passionate the host is about cooking and sharing food with you. He even tried a new recipe on us, and it was to die for! It's still our best food experience in our 15 days in Sri Lanka.
