Great facilities, nice and private and only about 10-12 minutes from Tuakau it's a great location to stay. If you are fortunate enough to be offered a traditional Indian tea to drink I highly recommend saying yes.

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Port Waikato, Te Karaka Lodge is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. From the moment I arrived, I felt like an honorary guest. Danielle and Aaron were extremely gracious hosts. Fabulous facilities. The chef and his team prepared an amazing feast using only the best local ingredients. This was by far the one of the best experiences I've had in all my travels around the world. Kudo to The Karaka Lodge for their organization and delivery.

Situated in Waihi in the Waikato region, Waihi Gold Alpacas 1 or 2 people has a balcony. Boasting private check-in and check-out, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Cleverly designed and built so that visitors can wake and see - from their beds - beautiful views all around, including the nearby field of alpacas! All the facilities are stylish and high spec, and everything is pristine clean. If you’re able to get up around 7.30/8am, you can help Neil feed the family’s alpacas and goats. And there are fantail birds filling the pine trees by the room pods, and fully grown (and still alive) kauri trees on the farm; it’s very special here.

Boasting river views, The Loft at Te Kumi Tirohanga provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 17 km from Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. Really well stocked kitchen, etc. The kids loved seeing the sheep. Great for accessing the caves and other walks around Waitomo

Set on acreage with an operating vineyard and olive grove, Streamblock offers accommodation in Kuratau, next to Lake Taupo. The slopes of Mount Ruapehu are a 30-minute drive from the property. The space and the location was amazing for our group and everyone enjoyed the facilities around. Lot of rabbits running around in the vineyard. The equipments in kitchen and the rooms along with the linen was great. Would definitely stay here again.
