We had a wonderful stay in this authentic Omani guesthouse. Everything was great from the first moment, our host Hamza was so friendly and helpful, he went a way beyond of what would be expected. The guesthouse is located in a beautiful oasis between old and new Al Hamra, there are great views and a lot of things to do around. It's an ideal starting point for exploring the mountains and historic towns nearby. There is also a lovely cafe joined with the guesthouse. The breakfast and dinner provided were excellent. The whole place is built and designed in the traditional style. It was our best stay in Oman and we would love to come again.

This old traditional house is beautifully restored and traditionally decorated. The owner’s brother, Faisal, was very kind and helpful. He even drove us to a beautiful newly opened museum. His hospitality, so famous for Omanis, was fabulous.

My main reason for staying in this hostel was hiking to the peak of Jebel Shams and Mahmood made it possible, really caring that I am well prepared. We really enjoyed our stay: the traditional architecture of the house is stunning, and the rooms and facilities were extremely clean and comfortable. Lack of wifi was not perceived as a minus, but as a plus: it's a great choice to make visitors focus on the surrounding beauties and live a more authentic experience (eg by stargazing and gathering on the private fireplace). The staff has been very friendly and helpful. Finally, the location is very convenient as it's close to many of the most important trails and viewpoints of the area.

When we arrived at the property the owner was already waiting for us with the keys. He was very welcoming and helped us with our luggage. Asked us how much water needs to be filled in the swimming pool so that the kids are comfortable. The property was so green, mango trees were filled with ripe mangoes, banana trees, date trees and to add it up it was raining which made it more magical. The property was clean, impeccable and the fridge had mangoes and dates for us. Even the kitchen is filled with utensils so for a family you are not far away from your home
