The hotel is new and very clean. Great location close to the love river. The room is spacious, the staff is professional and super friendly. We were moved to an upgraded room immediately when we told the front desk about white noise from the aircon converter outside the window. We will be back definitely.

Situated in Jiaoxi, 1.4 km from Jiaoxi Railway Station, Orient Luxury Hotel-Jiaoxi features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot. Sparkling clean, high-tech, beautiful, brand new facilities, helpful and attentive staff, luxurious amenities. Breakfast options were very plentiful and delicious. Good location too, only a few minutes by foot from Jiaoxi Transfer Station. The balcony onsen (mountain view option) was absolutely wonderful. So clean, peaceful and relaxing with a gorgeous view. I did not even want to put on music, as at night you hear a chorus of crickets and other sounds of wildlife from the surrounding mountains.

Located in Wuri, 6.8 km from Daqing Station, Boutech Wuri Village Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hotel is very new and nice designed. The Japanese spa is wonderful, a peaceful and well equipped shower area with 2 hot water pools.

In a prime location in the West District district of Taichung, Spring Rhapsody Hotel is situated 2.4 km from Kuangsan SOGO Dept. Everything! Staff were great from the minute we arrived, very friendly and welcoming and helpful (Meg in particular was very welcoming, kind and great fun to chat to as we checked in!). The breakfast was lovely with a great variety. Room was very nice and even had an unexpected view and mini balcony as well as free snacks and drinks in the room which we were not expecting. We LOVED this place, if we’re ever lucky enough to visit Taichung again we’ll be staying here!

Located in Dayuan, 10 km from Zhongli Railway Station, alfar Hotel provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a tour desk. Little gem of a hotel. Close to Taoyuan International airport (from Terminal 1/2 (A12/13) to Station A17 (Linghang)), ~15 minutes (cost TW$ 20 each way per person ~ €0.50c) on the MRT which is clearly signposted in the airport. There are ATMs in the concourse(s), credit card is easier than debit card to get money, there is a manned ticket office at the airport,and at station A17, along with vending machines. You get a coloured token that gives access through the turnstiles It is a 5-7 minute walk from A17 (Linghang) to Alfar Hotel, slightly uphill but very, very gentle slope and smooth pavements), not under a flight path, so quiet overnight. The area is great, very tranquil, a few restaurants and cafes, lovely park and lake with the Calligraphy Museum opposite the hotel. There is no formal breakfast, however, there is coffee, tea, cookies, soft-drink available in the morning. Superb shower/bathroom, slippers provided along with usual bathroom stuff (razor, toothbrushes, etc.). Bed was fantastic with really great pillows. Staff were very friendly, they all spoke English (and probably other European languages). Hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable, wish we could have stayed longer.
