I absolutely loved everything about this property. Everyone is super friendly. Even got a little gift which I have been wearing every day since. The food was delicious - big portions. There was hot water and the shower was great. I can honestly not fault a single thing. It is a really peaceful environment.

The Queendom of Asimba is a wonderfull place to stay. Very friendly, client oriented, communicative and hands-on treatment. Isabelle and Justine look for you, that you're enjoying your stay. Perfect breakfast, dinner was like early days at home (for me). They organised transport by a friendly and trustful taxi driver. I feld treated like a King but at an equal human level. The room (nr. 2) has a nice view on the valley and hill on the other side, was very clean, well-maintained, as well as the rest of the Villa Asimba. I can definately recommend a stay with Justine, Isabelle and the kind staff of the Queendom.

Eine tolle Unterkunft, die Lage ist unglaublich, das Essen super und die Menschen dort sind uns sehr ans Herz gewachsen. Die Besitzer des Retreats sind unglaublich tolle und liebe Menschen. Wir reisen viel, haben viel gesehen und erlebt aber eine solche Gastfreundschaft haben wir noch nie erlebt. Einfach toll, welche Oase sie dort geschaffen haben. Ein besonderer Dank gilt auch Jean D‘Armour, der mit seiner Freundlichkeit, Leidenschaft und Engagement unsere Zeit so besonders machte.

Die Unterkunft Akagera Park Inn hat einen Außenpool, einen Garten, eine Gemeinschaftslounge und eine Terrasse in Akagera. To all my fellow travellers: don't miss this place. It has just opened, they are still adding new services, and it is already a little wonder: The lodge, which is a little higher than the road, offers and magnificent view and it is placed very near to the entrance of Akagera national park. There is no closest hotel, except for those in the park itself; The rooms, which draw their character from the beautiful wooden style, are incredibly confortable, well designed, with a little terrasse perfect to read in this magic atmosphere; The swimming pool is simple but perfect to relax after the "African massage" of the safari road, with a beautiful view; The restaurant also points to the mountain in front, it has the same wooden style, a nice bar and a view to the kitchen to see the Chef in action; The place is also thought well so that it is serving and benefiting the community around: not only is it ecological and affordable, Akagera Park Inn buys its food from the local farmers, it is building a local shop to promote local crafts, it is working with local guides and massage centers, it aims to make its economic adventure an inclusive one that benefits the community. And of course, I have to mention the team who made everything to ensure that I had a good stay. For example, I received a warm welcome with fresh fruit mocktail and warm towel, they offered a little lunchpack for the safari, were extremely flexible with dinner and breakfast time, and put me in contact with the Ellie, a wonderful young guide who showed me around, took me for a brochette and some banana wine after the safari.

First off, this hotel is a hidden gem. Our tour company recommended their own suggestions and we were not pleased with them so we did our own research and I found this place. Wow! First off, it’s beautifully located right on Lake Kivu and is so relaxed and feels very safe with their own security. The room is beautiful, spacious, and has a great bathroom and patio. Moreover, the staff was outstanding and so attentive and communicative. And the food was outstanding on property. Breakfast is included so make sure to enjoy it. We also loved our dinner.
