The hotel is located in a beautiful, scenic area. We arrived late, but the letter and room key were waiting for us at the reception. The hotel has many cozy seating areas and good Wi-Fi. Outside, there is a sauna and hot tubs – it was a wonderful opportunity to relax. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Enjoyed the outdoor hot bath, which the property also offers indoor sauna (but note operational at selected timings only). The room is lovely with a window overseeing the 'boat on the dock'. There is a common area for people to gather and chat, with central heating in the centre. The breakfast buffet was great too, served in the restaurant, and you get to enjoy nice views as well ... however, they close the restaurant when breakfast is over, meaning all patrons will be asked to adjourn elsewhere. The bar is open in the evenings, but pretty pricey so go easy on the alcohol :)

The rooms are comfortable (good beds, big windows, nice bathroom)

Never ate so well in Iceland! - the room was quite big and comfortable - the view I really wanted to thank everyone for making me feel like home, I will definetely miss that feeling even after only two nights there, and Ill be back !:)

We were running late for dinner at the hotel and the restaurant was going to close by the time we got there. The Staff managed to put away food for us on the side this way when we got to the hotel we had all the meals ready. Thank you hotel Laxa for the great hospitality and good stay!
