Try Riva Gelato just over on the campsite which has lovely ice creams to choose from. Easy to get to lots of different places from where we were. We were unfortunate enough to encounter almost a full day of heavy rain but the accommodation has a good TV with lots of channel choices so we were able to keep entertained when we couldn't get out. It has a great kitchen with everything you need to be self catering. The living room has a comfortable space in which to relax. The bed was very comfortable with a skylight cover which was great! It enables you to block out the light when the sun rises at 4:30 in the morning. The bathroom is amazing with a big shower. There was a very effective fan in the cottage which was really wonderful since we had pretty warm days and it helped to cool down the space. The entire cottage has been artfully decorated and was spotlessly clean. There is interesting lighting throughout the space. There is a small outer area with a table that is fenced in if you had a dog. The cottage is off the Main Street so it was very quiet but just minutes from the main part of town so easy walking to trailheads, shopping and restaurants. There is a small grocery store within a few minutes walk. There was parking available within a reasonable distance of the cottage. The owners were very responsive to our questions.

The Spa is well worth booking too with thermal hot tubs , ice fountain, cold plunge, sauna and steam room. A 5 minute walk to the village and promenade. Ample parking.
Lovely cottage, modern, clean and very comfortable. The hot tub in the garden was amazing and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Exceptional hosts!! They could not do enough to help. Very knowledgeable as to where to visit & what to see in the local area. The property was in a very good state of repair, my room was cosy & had an edwardian cottage vibe overlooking idyllic scenery set in a peaceful location, surrounded by wonderful countryside & great walks. Ideal for walkers & nature lovers. & those seeking solace. Places to visit were with easy reach. The breakfast choice was excellent & I was truly spoilt & felt at home 10/10
Amazing little cottage with great facilities (hot tub with that view was an added bonus) Cosy, comfortable & clean - the neighbours were really friendly too.
Lovely cottage in the middle of Penrith with all shops pubs restaurants on the doorstep. Cottage had everything you needed plus the hot tub was an extra bonus, beds were very comfortable
The kitchen was fantastic and very up to date. The location was brilliant just far enough out of the village so it wasn't busy. The hot tub and sauna was a great added extra and easy to use with the instructions. The cottage was cosy and definitely warm enough. Lovely big back garden overlooking the woods. Massive TV to watch at night. Big drive to park a few cars out. It's all round fantastic place will definitely return.
The lodge was spotlessly clean and very cozy. There was room to park 2 cars outside the lodge. The lodge was spacious and had everything we needed for self catering. There was fresh flowers and a bottle of wine which was a lovely welcoming touch. There was games at the property which we had fun playing but the highlight had to be the hot tub. It was so relaxing and very private up in the trees. We will be definitely returning again if some date become available. Thanks Julie for an amazing break away.
