Situated in Maryport, 29 km from Buttermere and 34 km from Derwentwater Lake, Bells yard Cottage Maryport features accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. The property was warm and cozy! Really well decorated throughout .The property provided with everything we would need with an extra basket provided with little bits of different cereal which was a nice touch! Communication was great! Really easy to get in! We was warned about the stairs been steep but we didn't have an issue at all with stairs inside or outside these didn't affect us in any way!

Offering a garden and garden view, Heather Mere Cottage, Bowness-on-Windermere is set in Bowness-on-Windermere, 38 km from Derwentwater Lake and 43 km from Askham Hall. The coffee machine was superb. Kitchen perfectly equipped with everything you need. Gorgeous little touches like coffee, hot chocolate, and complimentary cake left for us. The Bathtub was fantastic! The bed was incredibly comfy and the complimentary board games were wonderful.

Situated in Grizebeck and only 30 km from World of Beatrix Potter, 2 Malt Kiln Cottages features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The flat was very spacious and had a nice view of an old cottage across the road. Everything was clean with nice modern fixtures and appliances. Although the flat is right on the roadway, we had no road noise. Having off-street parking was a plus. We also liked having two full bathrooms. The kitchen had everything one would need for a short or long stay with a large refrigerator.

Located 18 km from Buttermere, 1 The Croft provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely cosy little two bedroomed cottage with a nice big bath for relaxing and right in the centre of the town with parking.

Tranquility No 42 Port Haverigg Marina, a property with a garden and a bar, is located in Millom, 42 km from Lake Windermere, 43 km from Wasdale, as well as 49 km from Scafell Pike. Loved the views and the accommodation was really comfortable with everything you needed for a few days. Bed very comfortable. Ski Bar on site had good meals and lots of drinks choices and the staff were very accommodating. Very dog friendly. Try Riva Gelato just over on the campsite which has lovely ice creams to choose from. Easy to get to lots of different places from where we were. We were unfortunate enough to encounter almost a full day of heavy rain but the accommodation has a good TV with lots of channel choices so we were able to keep entertained when we couldn't get out. Communication with the owners was excellent. We will be visiting again.

Set in Ambleside, 10 km from World of Beatrix Potter, 17 km from Lake Windermere and 28 km from Derwentwater Lake, Grayling Cottage offers accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The cottage is absolutely lovely. It has a great kitchen with everything you need to be self catering. The living room has a comfortable space in which to relax. The bed was very comfortable with a skylight cover which was great! It enables you to block out the light when the sun rises at 4:30 in the morning. The bathroom is amazing with a big shower. There was a very effective fan in the cottage which was really wonderful since we had pretty warm days and it helped to cool down the space. The entire cottage has been artfully decorated and was spotlessly clean. There is interesting lighting throughout the space. There is a small outer area with a table that is fenced in if you had a dog. The cottage is off the Main Street so it was very quiet but just minutes from the main part of town so easy walking to trailheads, shopping and restaurants. There is a small grocery store within a few minutes walk. There was parking available within a reasonable distance of the cottage. The owners were very responsive to our questions.
