Already the arrival was very pleasant: We were welcomed by Gabriel who picked us up from the boat and walked us to our house. The house was great! Lovely decorations, super clean, good wifi, kitchen equipped with everything you need, quiet and with green all around and right at the boarder of the National Park. Gabriel and his colleague Rodrigo gave us a little walking tour around the village with recommendations for restaurants and info/history about the town with a visit to the Turtle Museum. They were such great guys that we decided to do a Canoe tour with them the next morning and also that we enjoyed very much. Tortuguero is amazing and peaceful with its infinite beach, the canals & the park with its amazing wildlife - definitely one of our highlights of our Costa Rica trip.

New Caribe Point features a hot tub and offer massage services. Very clean accommodation in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were making sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness definitely exceeded our expectations. The whole place is very well maintained, super clean. It's a great location almost at the beach, and walking distance to the centre of Cahuita and the Cahuita National Park. There was also an opportunity to rent bikes, free of charge, which was a great addition to our stay. We had a fantastic time staying at New Caribe Point. Definitely recommend! :)

Villa Piňa dorada dependencia del hotel Casa Merlin enjoys a location in Puerto Viejo, just less than 1 km from Cocles Beach and a 11-minute walk from Jaguar Rescue Center. This was without a doubt the best accommodation we stayed at in 6 weeks travelling Central America. Such a beautiful property nestled in the jungle, with wildlife all around you. The house is spacious with lots of room for 4 and the fans and shade kept it nice and cool inside. The place has everything you need and we spent many hours playing cards outside on the deck. Would absolutely stay here again - we wish we didn't have to leave! It is out of town at gorgeous Playa Chiquita, with lots of shops and food options nearby. This means that in a few minutes you can reach a well-stocked supermarket, restaurants. At the same time, you are a short distance from several beautiful and (in July) almost empty beaches and a tropical rainforest. As a bonus, capuchin and howler monkeys roam around the cottage almost daily, but you can also see agoutis, toucans and hummingbirds there. It's like you are staying in the middle of a zoo.
