Country house with an incredible view to the city, a property with a garden, is situated in Cartago, 21 km from Ujarras Ruins, 24 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park, as well as 25 km from Estadio... If I could rate this place higher than a 10, I would. Gorgeous views, clean and quaint lodging with plenty of room to spread out for a family of four, with just the right amount of amenities and an incredibly kind and helpful caretaker on site who makes himself available for anything needed; from restaurant suggestions to how to open/close the gate to a private chicken coop tour. :) Francisco was a true joy to meet. This site is full of little wonderful surprises. On our too short of a stay we found a cute personalized welcome message board, squeezed in a soccer game on our own field with goals!, enjoyed an unexpected mini-view of the volcano (thanks to Francisco), and found fresh eggs in our kitchen from Francisco’s own chickens! We wish we could have partaken in the ‘Be a Farmer for a Day’ activity offered. It was all lovely and magical, but hands down the best part of this place are the caretaker and host. When I was horrified to discover we had accidentally left the premises with the tv remote control, I was sure I would have a terrible time returning it to them as we had already left the area. But the host worked with me quickly to facilitate a smooth and easy way to return it to the house by the end of the day. No problemo! De mi corazón, gracias F y D!

Sergio's House, a property with a garden, is situated in Cartago, 12 km from Ujarras Ruins, 28 km from Irazú Volcano, as well as 29 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park. The backyard was wonderful to chill out, even the road in front of the house was busy. We felt peaceful and relaxed. The house is close to Walmart, so it’s convenient for family. In addition, the host is helpful and thoughtful. We appreciated his hospitality.

Warmly greeted by Juan, he spoke a little English and I speak a little Spanish so we managed to understand each other. He even took us to his own home nearby and introduced us to his wife and explained a few things about the area.It’s a beautiful location with stunning views. The cabin is just as the photos show, beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. A small but perfectly functional kitchen, had everything we needed. Nice toiletries in the bathroom, a comfortable bed. In addition, there’s outside space and parking. The nearby town of Orosi has plenty of shops and restaurants. You can drive there or use the footbridge across the river.

Absolutely superb location. outside town, overlooking the beautiful Orosi Valley. Lovely balcony to watch the birds in the garden. fabulous spacious accommodation.

Beautiful and comfy place, perfect for some quiet days. Very helpful owners. A 4x4 is definitely needed to reach the place. Make sure to check the road conditions beforehand.

I liked how easy the host made the experience of checking in. The place is nice, beautiful and isolated, perfect place to find quiet and peace.
