a wonderful old, historical farm. The pictures does not give you a correct impression of how fantastic this place is. Farm animals roam freely around, and thee is an amazing atmosphere. The building is a old historical house from the mid 18th century, beautifully restored. The hosts are so friendly and made us feel so relaxed.

Linda and Peter were very friendly. Peter took time to explain how the farm worked to my husband which he really appreciated. Linda came with medicine for my upset stomach. Added bonus: HOME MADE BREAD so fluffy and utterly delicious! Also milk straight from the cow... we were not expecting these added touches. We felt cherished like part of their family! Another bonus was the horse riding into the mountains! This was a wonderful experience!

The place was very clean and comfortable. Very nice kitchen well supplied. It’s located in a stunning property and the owner is one of the nicest person ever. Everything felt so welcoming and the quality is so high compared to the price. Definitely suggest staying here.

Everything was perefct. The hosts were more than accommodating. We arrived late the evening after 9, and they still welcomed us. Even checked in the following day to ensure we were sorted. The Hot -Tub was ready upon our arrival. The place has everything you need. We had a weekend stay in June , and will return again.

We stayed here on our way back to CPT from the garden route. It was very peaceful and quiet. You can do a lot on the premesis so id really recommend staying for a whole weekend and just relaxing there.

    Riversdale is a great base for road trips up the scenic Garcia’s pass into the little Karoo where you should stop at the Muiskraal Olive farm shop before going east to Herbertsdale for a gourmet wine and food experience at Jakkalsvlei wine estate.

    Not much to do, but the restaurant we went to for dinner was lovely (Signor Vino). Bali trading is also a great visit, give yourself a length of time for this if you enjoy quirky gift shops as there is lots to look at.

    Riversdale is a small farming town on the N2 route between Swellendam and Mosselbay. I did not tour the town in any way but I did make use of the Spar Supermarket which provided everything I needed for my 3 day stay on the farm.

    Great accommodation for short stay. Spotlessly clean. Set in a lovely garden looking on to the pool and mountains. Very comfy beds an well equipped. Very nice welcoming host. Would go again. Great stop over on the way to the Wilderness. Ou Tronk is well worth a visit.

    We did not like it . We drove away. It was not out expectations. We did feel sade there. So we told the lady there. And she didn't want to refund us. So we had drove back to riversdaleto found another place to stay for the night. We had to pay double. We are very unhappy. Can please contact me. So that we can discuss situation.     We stayed at Fynbos as a stop over point on our tour of the Western Cape. Riversdale was a nice town, with plenty of shops and places to grab a quick bite. Our hosts at Fynbos gave us a real taste of authentic SA, including boerwors for breakfast. Ask to see Sleeping Beauty.

    Excellent location on a smallholding next to the river. Friendly welcoming host. Cleanliness of the cottage. Lovely covered patio overlooking the farm fields with tame Springbok. A lot more to Riversdale than you see when you pass by on the N2 freeway.
