We were very pleasantly surprised as the property exceeded our expectations. In the middle of a farm, it was lovely and peaceful. The host was delightful. The room extremely comfortable and as described. We had our own little patch of garden and could sit out and watch the beautiful Karoo sunset. It was gorgeous.

Wow, what a peaceful well appointed cottage to relax in. The outdoor area was a big bonus with a view overlooking the old bridge. There is a lovely short walk down to the river and many birds to try to spot and listen to. Numerous treats were also left for us to indulge in. Any questions were answered promptly by the host.

    Hopetown is a rural town that suffers from neglect like all platteland towns in South Africa. To find a gem like this lodge just up stream was a delightful surprise. The food was excellent, the staff helpful and just hiking around the farm and watching the game was greatly ( I don’t fish, but apparently this is a great spot!)

    The hosts were very friendly and the units were neat and very clean. A big plus for us was being able to take our dogs with us. It is quiet and peaceful and I would highly recommend them as a stay over on a long trip.
