Beautiful beaches, lots of places to eat nearby and very low key. If you are looking for a long weekend but the beach, this is your spot! We loved "The Drift" for breakfast and if you want a cool place for after dinner go to Concord Espresso Bar. The Flight of Espresso Martinis and S'mores are great. I love Shell Island Resort!
I love Shell Island Resort! We go every year to celebrate my birthday. We always enjoy that each room has an ocean view. We love the easy access to the beach. They were doing road work which was a pain, but I loved the area. You were close enough to all the stores, malls, and Wilmington without being in the middle of it. The Oceanic Restaurant is wonderful, especially sitting out on the pier with the moon rising. We loved the sunset cruise too, and learned many interesting things about the area.
