The primary reason for staying in Woodford was the convenience in access to Dominion Raceway which was hosting a driving experience for the public to enjoy exotic track-tuned sports cars on a road course. I did not visit any other venues in Woodford other than the local Sheets fueling station.

Woodford is 15 minutes from Fredericksburg, where there are lots of hotels and historical places. Woodward, is tiny town with not a lot happening. The hotel Tru was very modern and friendly. Clean and family friendly. Plus it seemed like more people had their dogs but they did not cause a problem. They had very comfortable beds and soft pillows, nice shower. The room was set up well and it had a refrigerator but they did not have a microwave or coffee maker. Instead it had a coffee bar in lobby and a microwave there with many tables and sofas. I think this is to encourage people to socialize. But I did miss the microwave in the room, some. This Tru by Hilton hotel is right beside a race track that has Nascar and other races. For some that must be really fun. For others it might be a little loud until 10pm on weekends. I recommend this if you're looking for a good one night stop on I 95. Or if you like race cars.
