    To be a big city in Florida, it actually had a small town feel, with the specialty restaurants like Columbia and Bern, the River Walk, the oldest cigar factory in the Country, a plethora of attractions, like the aquarium and Mariners museum.

    It's a great city with lots to see.

    It's a great city with lots to see. From The Sea Aquarium to The Hard Rock hotel and casino and of course Bush Gardens. The best retail therapy with Hyde Park and International Plaza. The traffic was crazy there. I thought Orlando was bad this city might be a little worse. You'd better be in the right lane for turning or you'll never get in.

    For myself it was very nice it was just too hot, which the hotel had no control over the weather. It is what it is for Summer. I enjoyed my stay the staff was very nice and friendly. My room was very neat and clean.

    We came to Tampa to cruise out of, our first time doing so.

    We came to Tampa to cruise out of, our first time doing so. We usually go out of Port Canaveral. The hotel we stayed at was good for the price and located close to what you need, but away from the water. The only caution I would say was we witnessed a 4 car accident on the highway due to a driver who was either distracted or driving too fast. They ended up flipping their car after hitting two other which caused those cars to hit others. Be careful and alert when driving, but overall a good place to visit, even if just staying the night before a cruise.

    Although I was born in Tampa, I no longer live there.

    Although I was born in Tampa, I no longer live there. I do come in town every few months as there are many things to do and the restaurants are top-notch. Also, very close to Saint Pete and Clearwater. We’re all the nice beaches are Tampa will always be my home

    Great modern city with lots to do.

    Great modern city with lots to do. The riverwalk along the river was great. Lots of great restaurants. Many museums and outdoor activities. The Warf had good fast food casual dining. Many great parks with lots to do. The free trolly train ride to Ebor city was a must do. Must eat at Columbia Latin restaurant the best tasting food and service i have seen in some time. Visit Ybor City Museum lots of history. The city has great public parking and transportation. Many water taxi and water activities along the river.

    Our room was a king corner and it had the most amazing view! The room was spacious and still private; I did not notice the room noise as much as I expected from a room with 2 walls of windows. And the BED. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The hotel itself was perfectly located for our needs, with ample parking and a welcoming lobby, and a very short walk to the trolley or to downtown/Amalie Arena. I also liked the adjacent Starbucks.

    Awesome location! You take a 15-20 min free tram moments from your door step straight into downtown Tampa. The street the hotel is on has a lot of bars and restaurants. Book dinner at The Columbia restaurant in the old Bar area of the restaurant. Best Spanish food.
