First off, check the events on the dates that you are in...
First off, check the events on the dates that you are in Paris, You gotta visit the Eiffel tower at night and take pictures. Also, enjoy the garage sales if you are on a Saturday in town. Take pics just outside the Campbell's factory. Scholl Bros BBQ is a great place to eat and very affordable. Quiet town, found a great place for breakfast called Aunt Mary's. Most coffee shops (espresso) were not open on Sunday nor were a lot of restaurants. Not a lot of choice for restaurants. Architecture of the downtown buildings and the beautiful old homes churches, and even the funeral homes made it so pleasant to drive around and site see. I liked downtown, the train depot, Eiffel Tower, and tombstone of Jesus wearing cowboy boots. A local newspaper staffer was very helpful to me when I met her at the Fountain, and folk in the restaurants I ate at were friendly. All but the newspaper staffer were senior citizens like me and spoke highly of the town. Sure wish someone would do something special with the old Sears & Roebuck store on the downtown plaza corner.
