New York is expensive, not a particularly easy city to navigate around. You either take cab/Uber or subway or walk. But the various neighborhoods and sights are worth the money spent and effort. You just need to be careful and aware of your surroundings. There are excellent restaurants of all varieties and ambiance. Spent 4 nights and it was enough time to do all the highlights. The city is huge if you include Brooklyn and the other suburbs so if you wanted to do everything you'd need at least a week. The city is constantly humming and is generally really busy so it has a good vibe but can be a bit much if you're not used to that sort of thing. You will also end up doing a lot of walking. Everything was excellent, specially location of the hotel if you want to visit Upper Manhattan. Hotel is just a right on Times Square corner and near Central Park, Intrepid museum, Rockfeller center and Empire state building. Only recomendation would be to upgrade breakfast, adding some scramblled eggs, bacon and typicall american pork sausages! That would really make a huge difference! The room was super quiet for being this close to Times Square, and we didn't hear a peep out of any of the other residents either, a rare thing these days.
