Our main reason for staying in Lorain was the location and the lighthouse. We had a wedding to attend in Amherst, OH and Lorain is about 15-20 minutes away. I found the Lorain Lighthouse nearby our hotel, so I booked a tour, and it was amazing!! I also enjoyed the beaches nearby and restaurants. I shopped in the nearby plaza and enjoyed a concert at the amphitheater at Rock on the River. The city is quiet and beautiful near Lake Erie. We chose to book this VRBO because we prefer the unique character of a home and neighborhood to most hotels. This property was perfect in that way! We did not actually hang out in Lorain, but enjoyed a brief visit to Lakeview Park, which is beautiful. It's easy navigating Lorain. Would love to explore down town and historic features next time.
