I love the grounds. The rooms are comfortable and all have a porch to view horses or sunsets. Restaurant is good and gift shop is fun to explore as well as artwork in gallery and displayed all over. I love eating on the patio although this time it was too chilly
My only complaint is the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. The shower was not cleaned well nor was the toilet. I was given clean towels and extra water as i asked for them. The staff is friendly. I’m not sure they’re trained in cleaning as well as they could be and the room is not inspected before its rented again. I saw a form filled out by the cleaner but not signed by an inspector.

The area is beautiful and serene, with breathtaking views.
The area is beautiful and serene, with breathtaking views. Being a very small town, there are few places in the vicinity to eat or stay and a car is necessary to visit the area. The restaurant at the Abiquiu Inn offers delicious fare. Bode's store has a bit of everything from food, wine, and gifts to fishing worms and mosquito spray. They close at 7:00 as does the BBQ place next door to Bode's. There is an ice cream shop across the street from Bode's.
Visiting Ghost Ranch is an easy 13 mile trek away from the Abiquiu Welcome Center. You can explore the area on the hiking trails or by an organized tour. These tours fill up fast, so sign up as soon as possible. The tour of Georgia O'Keeffe's home originates at the Abiquiu Welcome Center right next door to the Abiquiu Inn. I suggest signing up for this tour weeks or months in advance if you know exact dates of your visit. It is popular and an extraordinary experience. I highly recommend taking this tour and getting a special insight to Georgia O'Keeffe's life in NM.
The Purple Adobe Lavender Farm is another beautiful and serene place to visit. There is a gift shop that sells many fine lavender products and a few snacks. The farm itself is fairly small, but worth checking out, especially before the lavender is harvested at the end of July.

Abiquiú Inn is next to the Georgia O’Keeffe Center and the guided tour of her offsite house is wonderful—must have tickets and only 8 can tour at a time. Gift shop at the Inn is beautiful and includes local artist paintings.

One of the most beautiful, quaint hotels Ive stayed in - gorgeous local classic Southwest design for all the decor - large room with porch and patio - beautiful grounds and indoor/outdoor restaurant. Amazing value for the room! Store with local items attached as well as a Georgia OKeefe Museum Store next door. A must stay if you are taking the Georgia OKeefe House Tour and a fabulous getaway even if you are not taking the Tour. Stop at the Bode Market down the road as well.

My second stay at Abiquiu Inn and it was lovely. The front desk and restaurant staff were courteous and professional! I even got some carrots from the kitchen to treat the rescue horses out back! The serene environment combined with close proximity for day trips to the hot springs or Ghost Ranch is such a plus here!

The location was ideal for our tour at the Georgia O’Keeffe Homes and Studio. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and decorated with beautiful Southwestern objects. It was hot during our stay, so I appreciated the heat pump cooling system—it was very quiet, unlike the AC/heat units many hotels install into the wall.
