This cozy beachside resort offers a peaceful, serene escape with exceptional service. The owner, Loay, is incredibly hospitable and always available on WhatsApp to attend to any needs including your meal order, excursion plans etc. (I have yet to see this service at another resort). Rufina, the friendly and attentive waitress, made every meal enjoyable. Unlike other resorts, this one has fewer hawkers, allowing for a more relaxed experience. It’s the perfect spot for relaxation, with a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended!

This was my first time in Zanzibar, and I picked this hotel! Here’s what I thought: The food here is just amazing—super tasty, fresh, and high-quality. You can tell the chefs cook with love. 🥘 The staff is really friendly, they told us so much about Zanzibar, and the cocktails at the bar are great. 🥂 The whole place is spotless—the cleaning team does an awesome job! ✨ The hotel is right on the beachfront, so you wake up to the ocean view. 🌊 The rooms are spacious, super clean, and smell so nice. 💐 They even have their own garden! 🌱 I’ve never seen a hotel with a garden before—they grow fresh veggies, herbs, bananas, passionfruit, and more. Honestly, this was the best vacation I’ve had in years—huge thanks to this hotel!

Wonderful, kind and amazing staff, extremely polite and helpful; massage ladies were awesome, beautiful pool and rooms that were extremely comfortable and clean. Great food variety. Kitchen staff woke up early to make up breakfast so we could catch our flights. Good beach. The perfect quiet and private getaway in a beautiful location. Family friendly. Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a small sized high-quality 5 star hotel. Would definitely go back again.

I stayed at few hotels in Zanzibar and here it is different - original bush has been saved , added flowers and endemic plants.African style architecture blended inside the garden , tastefully decorated rooms and some villas, each has different theme. Everything!! The staff provided a level of service money just can't buy. I will never forget the mesmerising views, impeccable room service, delicious food and so much more. We had an absolutely incredible stay at Pongwe Beach Hotel. Our room was amazing, with our own pool for a dip in the mornings, as well as a lovely pool. The size of the resort meant we never felt crowded at the pool or dinner facilities. The menu was amazing, dinner options changed daily and everything was ordered was delicious with fantastic, fresh produce.
