Amazing place to visit!
Amazing place to visit! Gorgeous town, loved the lake and boat tours to see hundreds of birds on the shimmering waters. Also enjoyed the town and Irma's Indigo scarf making workshop. A truly special place to visit!Guest review byBarbara - 6.0
We thought we would see more in the city center.
We thought we would see more in the city center. A friend told us to walk to the La Posada de Suchitlan restaurant. Glad we did. It had a pretty view of the lake and mountain. Other then that, not a lot to look at.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0
The local government is working to preserve the old town.
The local government is working to preserve the old town. The roads are stone and many homes built in the spanish colonial architectural style. There are ordinances that prohibit modifications to the home’s facade, so the owners restore to look like the original. The city is very clean, safe and the people are very friendly. The main plaza is lively with local vendors selling a variety of things all weekend. Will definitely return to Suchitoto.Guest review byManuelUnited States

The receptionist was really helpful and was always there when I needed help. The location is great - about a minute walk from the centre. The room also had cable TV which is definitely a plus and bargain, especially compared to the prices of accommodation in the local area. I also felt really safe being a solo female traveller.
