What a fabulous apartment in Alfaiates. Beautifully build, high ceilings and with lots of eye for detail. Great view from the living room and kitchen on the surrounding area and the sunset. Nice little outdoor area. We only stayed for one night, I would have loved to stay longer!

the location is perfect. the cottage is idyllic, very comfortable, clean . it’s brilliant. I just wished I could have stayed longer. I have travelled for 8 weeks and this place belongs to the top 2 . What a dream place, perfect.

Everything! Communication at the arrival day and host patience given an unfortunate delay we have experienced and showed up very late.... It was our second stay here. This time it was our base to visit surroundings: passadiços do Mondego (a boardwalk trail along the river Mondego, about 1h driving), historical village of Sortelia and 5 medieval villages of Sabugal. Location: A medieval village (XII century) located about 30km off the motorway. Definitely worth to divert, even for an overnight stop. A quiet, charming place. Hotel: an old building converted into a small hotel carefully finished with stone and wood and decorated with pieces of crochet, hand made by the owner. Room: Large and comfortable, wooden floor and furniture. It was cold at night, but when we came our rooms welcome us with warm, both literally and metaphorically . electric sockets: Available, the sockets near the bed occupied by a lamp lighting: good Bed: comfortable Bathroom: shower cabin large enough, regular electric socket available, heated. Breakfast: Excellent, large selection of food, very good quality and with different Portuguese specialties. Definitely the highlight of our stay. WiFi: strong signal, fast connection. Staff: excellent welcome, we have got a lot of hints about the vicinity. And explanation about strange wooden constructions used for bull fighting in a local style. Parking: free, front of the house.

The location was great, we were in the centre of Sabugal and right next to the castle. The area was quiet and we were able to park easily next to the castle. The check-in was very easy and the host was flexible. The place itself was cozy, clean and nicely decorated. The rooms were very comfortable and we loved the slate walls blending with the modern decoration. We didn't cook however the kitchen was well-equipped and it had everything needed. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay! The host delivered a basket in the morning full of local products and everything was delicious. We will definitely book again next time we are in the area.
