Very nice and quiet "little village" of lava stone houses with nice view on the Pico mountain. Houses are very spacious, very clean and well equipped. Very well maintained, and very friendly guest service. Excellent value for money!

The apartment is spacious, absolutely clean and comfortable. It’s 10 min walk from city center and 15;min walk from the ferry. And furthermore in 5min u ll reach a fabulous bakery. The kitchen is full equipped .The neighborhood is quiet and there r a lot of cute cats around. There is possibility to sit outside on a nice terrace with view to the sea and to the volcano.

A very attractive, nicely decorated 2 bedroom suite on the top floor of the host's home. From the balcony off the living room and master bedroom there is a beautiful view of the fields below and the ocean beyond. The kitchen is well equipped, so it was easy to cook our own meals. Sandra spoiled us with a welcome basket of goodies that included a jar of homemade jam! There was also a decent supply of coffee pods, some teas, and basics such as olive oil, vinegar, and salt and pepper, which we appreciated. After we were unsuccessful in booking a taxi to take us to the Sao Roque ferry terminal, Sandra came to the rescue and arranged a ride for us. The only improvements I would recommend are a light over the kitchen sink and a heated towel rack in the bathroom.

The garden and the view from our kitchen / terrace is just amazing! Aurelio is very helpful, kind and welcoming. When we arrived he showed us around in his garden and we were welcome to pick all of his fruits. We got avocado, oranges, lemons and many more. Everything was very clean and modern. We really enjoyed our stay at “A Fonte”!
