FAQs about hotels in Poznań

City Where The Country Was Born

One of Poland’s oldest cities and a birthplace of the Polish nation, Poznan is the capital city of the Greater Poland (Wielkopolska) region. Famous for international trade fairs, high quality shopping and popular festivals, this city is on the rise!

Its colourful medieval Old Town flourishes with dozens of bars, cafés and pubs open until the early hours of the morning. During warm days, you can sit in one of the pretty beer gardens and admire the architecture and the world going by.

For something different, enjoy Europe’s only steam-hauled passenger train and ride to Greater Poland National Park. Alternatively, visit the reconstructed brewery and indulge in shopping, as the Old Brewery is now one of the world’s best shopping malls.

Poznan lies halfway between Berlin and Warsaw and perfectly combines the old and the new, from Ostrow Tumski with its beautiful St. Peter’s and Paul’s Cathedral, to the glass and steel of Poznan International Fair and the city's skyscrapers.

Booking.com has a wide range of accommodation in Poznan to fit all your needs, from convenient hotels, to stylish apartments and budget hostels. So whenever you happen to arrive at Poznan Lawica Airport, you’re only minutes away from exploring this fascinating city.

Poznan is an incredibly under-the-radar city that sincerely surprised me. I was here for a conference and had only a couple of days to visit it, but I would estimate a 3-4 days stay can be adequate. The food, services, and overall vibe is way beyond what I expected. Make sure you try as many varieties of handmade pierogi you can, and visit the beautiful musea; Special mention to the Enigma museum. Make sure you check some website to know whether there are concerts, shows, or events around since the scene is very dynamic and not rarely offers free on-the-street concerts by very talented artists and amateurs alike.

The Old Town is extremely beautiful and there is lots to see and do. Lots of very good restaurants and places to have either food or drinks, particularly on the square when the weather permits (I was lucky to have three very warm sunny days!) Make use of a Poznan Card which you can buy on arrival at the airport, if flying in - do beware to note that there are vouchers in the back of the book they give you which accompany the card, as some places/attractions/museums etc. won't give you the free entry or discount without the voucher. I didn't have enough time there to explore further than the Old Town and Cathedral Island. Note: the Croissant Museum is NOT a museum but a demonstration and "Show". It lasts an hour exactly and is well worth a visit, but the word "Museum" is misleading. Beware: the portion sizes in many of the restaurants. Be prepared to loosen your belt!

The city is lovely, and the nature is great; greenery is everywhere! Has tons of museums, historical places to visit, and things to do. Shopping is also top-notch. Almost nothing is in English, though. It feels like they made everything tourist-friendly, but they didn't mean it. The people there seem to dislike communication in any form. Only a few speak English, which is weird when working in the tourism industry; they make no effort to communicate verbally or non-verbally. Felt like a very nice city populated by robots. That is, until they get drunk, which they do, all the time, kinda sad. Expect a very nice place, with tons of history, of which you won't understand anything, and no one and nothing will even try to communicate it to you

There is a lovely main square with beautiful buildings, spoilt for choice in terms of restaurants and bars which were all very good, there is plenty to do in this city from wandering around the safe streets of the centre to enjoying the beautiful green spaces of the parks and the lake. As the trip was short, we didn't use public transport but the tram system is great and Poznan is well connected to other cities and countries. So many interesting museums to visit and learn about the history and as mentioned earlier, it is a foodie's paradise. There is something for everyone in this city and it has a nice vibe without being too busy as some of the other European cities can be. The old town centre and square can be seen in a day but to really learn about and experience this city, in my opinion, three days to a week would be ideal.

Let’s start from the beginning. Very easy to find this hotel. It’s literally opposite airport which is very handy. Got parking spaces for your car. Guy on reception (Patryk) amazing. Very polite, smiling and helpful in every aspect. On the way to room you can smell beautiful the hallway, very clean. Room again very clean and very cosy. It’s my first time in here but I will be often when I land in Poland. Ps: very quiet area for near airport hotel.

It was a quick stop over for one night while driving through Poland. The hostel is not too far from the motorway and we were pleased not to go into the city centre after/before a long trip. Very good value and we were sad not to be able to stay here on our return journey. The hostel is very big, we had a quadruple room for a family with two kids and they loved the bunk beds. The bathroom was clean, beds were comfy, we even had a kitchenette.

The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Good central location - an easy walk to the Stary Rynek and other main sites, and cafes & restaurants. This is the second B&B Hotel I've stayed in while travelling in Poland - I wish I had booked a few more as they are excellent value.

The hotel is perfectly located, but it can get very noisy due to its proximity to the market square. I guess It can be expected when you decide to stay in the city centre.
