Overall just great! Especially liked that there's a gym & sauna. And although the self check-in works great on it's own, the staff is also extremely accommodating. Very suitable for business travelers.

FAQs about hotels in Gdańsk

Charming Architecture And a Breath of History

Called the Amber Capital of the World, Gdańsk is the major shipping seaport and the most beautiful city along the Polish Baltic coast. It has everything a city of this scale needs: a fascinating history, great architecture and a friendly atmosphere!

Also known as Danzig due to its complex past with periods of Polish, German and self-rule, the city is part of the Tricity urban area together with the port city of Gdynia and the popular spa town, Sopot. It’s also a birthplace of the world-famous Solidarity movement, which helped to bring down the Communist rule in Poland initiating the end of the Cold War era.

Its charming buildings were rebuilt in a historical style after the near-complete destruction during the World War II. The colourful town houses of the Old Town can be admired by boat on the Motlawa River or enjoyed while strolling along the popular Long Street and Long Market.

While in Gdańsk, make sure you visit the 15th-century St Mary’s Church, the largest brick church in Europe, and you make a wish at the Neptune Fountain, the city’s patron. While in town, try the legendary local Goldwasser liqueur with 22 karat gold flakes!

Whether you reach Gdańsk by train or plane, Booking.com offers a variety of accommodation near the Lech Walesa Airport, the picturesque Old Town or the general city centre.

Gdańsk is a truly charming city with beautiful houses on every corner of the historic center. Beyond exploring the old town and enjoying the many cozy cafés and restaurants with excellent food, it is definitely worth visiting the European Solidarity Centre to learn more about the city’s important history. A trip to the seaside is also a great idea – you can easily get there by tram.

Beautiful city full of great restaurants with amazing food. The Chleb and Wino restaurant is a must. Gdansk is a city with a very reach history, many historic places to visit. Also it’s very enjoyable to take a short cruise to a beautiful town of Sopot for a day for a Baltic Sea experience.

    What a gorgeous city!

What a gorgeous city! Plenty of interesting historical sites, museums and an amazing choice of restaurants. I found the most meaningful sites to be the World War II museum and the amber altar at St. Briget's Cathedral. Make sure to purchase the audio guide at the museum. I've recently had hip surgery and walked A LOT but there are plenty of beautiful parks and benches if I needed to rest.

    Wonderful city. Interesting.

Wonderful city. Interesting. The old part of the city is paved and is inconvenient if you have a small child and a stroller. There are very good playgrounds in shopping malls where children can play. You can find many restaurants with tasty food and wonderful sweets. Just the polish food is delicious.

    Beautiful and interesting city.

Beautiful and interesting city. Of all museums/exhibitions visited, the Solidarity Museum was my favourite. Travel by public transport was excellent and very cheap. The bus was free for over 65s, who also got a discount on the trains (just need to carry ID to prove your age, no need for faffing about with Senior Railcard). It’s also very clean, including the public transport.

Beautiful city, mostly rebuilt as much of the original was destroyed at the end of the war. Many things to do and see, for young and old alike. Good friendly atmosphere with helpful people. Felt safe to walk around, even in late evening. Excellent public transport system. Many good restaurants and bars. Hope to go again soon. Recommended.

excellent location ! If you come by plane, take bus no 210 from the airport, stop the street behind the hotel ( HUCISKO stop ), and once you are in the front of the hotel you are right at the beginning of Old Town, cobble streets, pedestrian zone, lovely historical buildings, market...close to the train station so you can take day trips ( 15 min on the train to Sopot...)..or take tram no 6 to visit Oliwa park and cathedral...

The hotel is located in the old town of Gdansk and easy to walk into the old center and other sites. A carousel and Gdansk wheel is nearby. Rooms are nice and comfortable beds with enough space. Nothing fancy about the place. Breakfast was good and nothing special. Worth the money we spent. Pizzas we ordered from the restaurant were delicious.

The hotel is close to the railway station (but without the problems that such a location would suggest in other European cities.) It is also just a 10 minute walk from Gdansk city centre. The Bar/Brewery is a beautiful space and the food served there was delicious.
