An absolutely gorgeous place to stay.It looked as if it had been designed and equipped by a professional interior designer and it had a stunning sea view.It was set in the owner’s private immaculate gardens and we were welcomed to walk around them.We were made to feel very welcome and were given directions and recommendations for dinner.There was a very nice continental breakfast left for us to enjoy at our leisure on the terrace.

    My weekend trip in Whangamata was fantastic, I honestly wished I had gotten to stay longer since it's such a lovely town. The beach, which is great for surfing and walks, is a huge part of the town, so staying near it is important. Whanga Bar Surf Views, where I stayed, had perfect beach access so I'd highly recommend that home.

    This is a family beach holiday destination.

    This is a family beach holiday destination. Very down to earth and firmly rooted in the surfing culture. Once a year in Match / April they have a Festival called the Beach Hop which is the largest classic and vintage car meet in NZ and includes music and 1950 / 60’s dance competitions. Classic Cars and their owners were all drifing in to town while we were there - it looked like it would be a spectacular event. We would consider revisiting the town in the future to participate in the Hop.

    Whangamata is an amazing beautiful white sand beach,great for Boogie boarding g swimming surfing,a surely stunning.whangamat shops have everything you need and some great cafes area not too built up but has enough amenities for a lengthy stay.

    Whangamata is a small town but has everything you need,...

    Whangamata is a small town but has everything you need, several good restaurants and cafes, shops and bars. The beach is beautiful, sandy, wide and safe. It is totally unspoiled. There is a small harbour, lots of fishing and boat rides. The surrounding countryside and views are magnificent. At low tide you can walk to one of the small islands.

    Whangamata can give you what you want, whether its a quiet...

    Whangamata can give you what you want, whether its a quiet peaceful time or a bit of a night out. Lovely walks whether ir is a beach, forest or hill walk. Golf course, cycling tracks, or just a gentle stroll on the beautiful beach. Lots of cafes, places to eat, like European, Thai, Indian, Turkish Kebab or fish & chips as well as 3 clubs in town for a small fee can enjoy a drink as well as lovely food. Downside is places close early & not like the big towns/cities for food & drinks.

    Everything was perfect! The hospitality was exceptional, with the hosts going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. Perfect time of year to enjoy the fruit off the trees as well! The accommodation itself was comfortable with everything thought of and really tastefully furnished. A+++ It was an easy ride to the mountain bike tracks, as well as Whangamatā township and beaches. Will 100% be recommending to friends and family, and are excited about staying again!

    We love the peace and beauty of the Harbour end of Whangamata, and Anchor watch was the perfect location. We were very comfortable as it felt we were in Tony and Lorraine s home. Everything had been thought of and lots of extras beside. The beds were comfortable. The shower was great, and the whole place was tastefully and comfortably furnished. We would love to return.
