We loved everything about Villa Thorse! The location, neighbourhood, beds, kitchen - everything! I cannot even begin to describe the views and the location of this place. There were six of us and the villa was perfect for us. Bedrooms are upstairs and the sofa/bed for kids was downstairs. Bedrooms upstairs were a bit hot, but that's because we were there when it was five days of hot sun - in the middle of summer. Won't complain though, the weather was perfect for long walks around Drøbak. Oslo was close with a car and there was a ferry going to the near Oscarsborg fortress/museum island every hour from dusk till dawn. We were supposed to stay only a couple of nights at first, but decided to extend the visit to a week (before arriving). Best choice I've ever made :) There were so much to see and do, the week felt way too short. Never felt so sad to leave a place. Thank you for everything, Ellen, We WILL be back! :))

The hotel is absolutely cosy and the staff are exceptionally helpful and attentive to all our queries and accommodation needs. We experienced a really warm welcome on our arrival and equally throughout our stay we were in great care with the many services offered such as complimentary afternoon coffee, tea and cakes. The hotel restaurant cooks incredibly well, all the meals for dinner and breakfast were an inspired experience full of flavour and tasted like home made. It was a refreshing stay in a hotel of the standard that every guest would hope for.
