The harbor area is very close to Radisson Blu. Lots of inexpensive eating options, and a few expensive ones near the harbor. The area above the harbor is very cute. Nice shops (perfect for the many cruise ships, good bakeries for breakfast and a good selection of bars and restaurants. Stavanger was more interesting and more fun to walk around than we expected. Stavanger is a beautiful small city.
Stavanger is a beautiful small city. You have most of the important sites all within walking distance of the harbor. The best halibut I have ever enjoyed. Wine and spirits are very expensive - you can buy a bottle of wine at the liquor store for what one glass will cost at a restaurant. May 17 is probably the absolute best day to be there as the entire city comes out in traditional clothing and every cultural, music and sporting group marches in the annual Constitution Day Parade.Guest review byAnonymous

Although the room was directly fronting the boardwalk of the street, we heard no street sounds at all. The location of the hotel is close to the city centre and close to the old, historic neighborhood Gamle Stavanger, both on walking distance. The breakfast buffet is very good.
