Exceptional location with wonderful views and few minutes walk to train station. Excellent, friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast and 24hr access to coffee machine included in room booking. Highly recommend the hotel restaurant for evening dining.

This was a great place to spend some time with the family! Easy access, lovely views and very exciting, especially for the kids. Loved the upstairs sleeping area. Enjoyed rowing and swimming in the lake.

A dream! Beautiful cabin with the most breathtaking views of the forrest and the skies at night. It had everything we could wish for, and was very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed with lit candles and lanterns along the path and at the treehouse. We also made use of the boat to explore the lake and its surroundings. And we gazed at the stars in a dark night surrounded only by the sounds of the forrest. The experience of a lifetime, for ourselves and our kids!

    The hotel staff were kind, friendly, and accommodating. With a friendly welcome, we were given our room ahead of time on our arrival. The homey decor, comfortable couches, and decor was instantly welcoming exuding hygge. The generous and delicious home cooked breakfast, fikka, and dinner complete the experience. Thank you so much for a memorable stay in Halden.

    Amazing, absolutely crazy delicious breakfast. Best hotel breakfast I have had in a looong time. Everything was really tasty, but also local, sustainable and ethically farmed, love it. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location had you right by Festningen, so beautiful surroundings, but still easy to get into town.

    Second time staying with Lenes and I love it. When staying in Halden, it is the best place to stay. My little nephew adored the rabbits and the chickens. The house is just perfect.
