    For a two day trip to Noboribetsu, we enjoyed the hiking, scenery, and shopping near our hotel. The natural hot springs there are also quite unique - semi translucent in appearance. We really enjoyed soaking in it.

    Restaurants outside hotels are limited, so opt in for meals at hotel if possible. The hikes were wonderful. 2 hour hike and you can see it all. Go early to avoid the visitor crush. Only need one day to enjoy the hot springs and get a hike in of Noboribetsu. Glad we made the trip!

    Definitely book a traditional Japanese room with floor futons. Much more comfy than the modern beds. Garden view is lovely. Onsen is one of the best I’ve experienced. So many options. Incredible staff. Breakfast was delicious!

    Definitely recommended to have a car.

    Definitely recommended to have a car. Explore Noboribetsu Onsen, Hell Valley. Day or Half-Day trips to Lake Kuttara, Lake Toya (and Toyako Onsen) are highly recommended. Spend a day trip driving to Hell Valley, and then to Muroran. 2-3 days is sufficient. If travelling by bus or train, make sure to get the schedule beforehand. While Noboribetsu is walkable, the other areas might not be so convenient without a car.

    'Wow' is all I can say.

    'Wow' is all I can say. Plus it was snowing on that day when we were at Jigokudani, so it was a great feeling. The Onsen in Daiichi is a MUST to try especially the outdoor Onsen is a unforgettable experienced.

    Onsen was fantastic at Noboribetsu Manseikaku.

    Onsen was fantastic at Noboribetsu Manseikaku. The Bear park is well worth the trip. The view from the mountain is spectacular. Being winter unfortunately some of the walking tracks were closed. Very nice little own, the main thing is to onsen!

    Loved the resort and onsen. The outdoor bath was incredible and we loved the private bath in our room. The hotel is kept very clean, but the private bath in our room had quite a bit of mold everywhere. For such an upscale resort, I was surprised that part wasn't kept cleaner. Walkable to Noboribetsu's major sights--Jigoku Dani and the bear park. We wanted a classic Hokkaido onsen town experience, and Noboribetsu Grand Hotel and this cute little mountain town delivered!

Minutes walk to eateries, shops, walking trails, and cultural performance (if you visit during summer). - Complementary access to the Grand Bath (onsen) at Takimotokan Hotel.     Best location in noboribetsu onsen for view of jigokudani from grand bath. Bathing facilities were exceptional with multiple baths to choose from and peaceful open air baths. Kaiseki dinner at Yunosato was delicious - seasonal, local produce. Breakfast buffet had lots of variety and good options to suit every taste Rooms were comfortable, staff were very friendly - English-speaking staff were present which also helped!
