Llama is a typical Japanese town. Great for a walk, but one day is plenty! Madarao ski resort scenery, location is wonderful. Madarao is a small village about 25 minutes away by bus from Iiyama. It is very accessible from Tokyo by Shinkansen. Dinner has to be booked in advance since there are not too many choices. The hotel is right next to the ski slopes and even within walking distance.There are good restaurants right next to the hotel which is very convenient. Nick and Karina is from Australia. They are very friendly and nice. My family had great help with transportation to Nozawa Onsen and to the Shinkansen station from Nick & Karina.
