Good stay and breakfast. Hotel location is good. Walking distance to Hakodate's attractions. the breakfast buffet was awesome! Breakfast selection was good, has japanese, asian and western and it will not get bored due to the variety. Century Marina Hotel also has Onsen and ofuro at the top of the hotel. After a long day enjoy the onsen with mount hakodate view.

A lovely, cosy boutique hotel. Very friendly staff with exceptional, Japanese standard hospitality. We stayed for 3 nights and the two bedroom suite was huge. There was a beautiful vacuum tube amplifier in the living room with great speakers. The hotel had a lovely collection of CDs, books and free drinks in their lobby. Our room came with breakfast and each morning we had a chef make a whole selection of either Japanese or Western inspired dishes. The hotel is very near the Jujigai tram stop and you can walk to the ropeway. All in all, an exceptional experience.

The hotel is very close to the train station.The room was excellent ( a corner room), with great view of the harbour, a washing machine and a small kitchen area, with a microwave, induction plate and a fridge.The room was very clean. The hotel has a lounge area on a high floor with stunning views of the waterfront and area, with free coffee available for guests .

    Hakodate per se is a quaint lite town, whose main attractions can be visited in one day. However, it can serve as a hub for exploring southern Hokkaido as it has all the necessary services. Food is certaiy a plus, particularly seafood, and prices are lower than elsewhere. Also, compared to larger towns on Honshu, it has a frontier-type of vibe.

    Hakodate is a beautiful scenic town surrounded by mountains. It's right on the port so lovely for a summers day. We enjoyed our 3 days here, going up Mt Hakodate and walking around the pretty streets. It would be a beautiful spot in Winter when there is snow.

    The people in Hakodate are kind and friendly.

    The people in Hakodate are kind and friendly. There is much to see and do especially in the Spring season. Travelling around on the tram was very convenient. We really enjoyed Goryokaku Park, Mt Hakodate and Hakodate Park. Also enjoyed Morning Fish Market, Museum Ship Red brick Warehouese. Places of interest included Old Public Hall of Hakodate and Museum of Northern Peoples. The fish market in early morning and salt ramen very good.

    If you don't go further than the station/port area, it is a massive tourist trap that feels like it was tailor made for cruise ships. When a RC cruise was in, it was horrible. Even without cruise passengers swarming, it is already very touristy, but one can still find nice spots.

    Hakodate was definitely our favorite visited city on our 3-week trip to Japan. The crowds were non-existent and the city was easily walkable or easily navigated by streetcar and bus. We were here before the May Sakura bloom and would love to return at another time to experience this as well.

    The hotel location is strategically located at Hakodate JR Train station, and just a few minutes' walk to the famous morning market. Even though it is located next to the train station, the hotel is well soundproof and we can not hear any train at night or in the morning. The hotel staff are very helpful, such as helping us to fill up the form to ship the luggage! The Public Bath has 2 hot and 1 cold bath area with a Suana as well. Exceptional in my view!

    The best hostel I've ever stayed in: it felt more like a fancy hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable. You even get a big fluffy towel for free, and there are floor towels for the showers as well. The terrace has a gorgeous night view. Fantastic location right by the sea and Red Brick Warehouses. The price is also unbeatable. If you're looking for a place to stay in Hakodate, this is it!!!

    Great location which is just a corner away from the Hakodate station and Hakodate Morning market. Staff are friendly and sociable, while the room was clean and spacious.     The hotel is quite close to Hakodate Jr station, only 5 minutes' walk. The staff is very polite and friendly; especially the attitude of the tour guide who led our way to the free seafood market. The onsen is superb, so is the breakfast. You get to make your seafood bowl!
