It got mountains, nice enough for day hike. it got caves, lakes, old tunnel turn into a museum, ropeway, halal restaurant. The place was amazing.
The place was amazing. The people of Fujikawaguchiko were friendly and helpful. The landscape and nature was beautiful. From biking around the lake, walking to the waterfall and hiking on the trails it was wonderful. This place is awesome, i had a wonderful hiking to Mt. Fuji. It's a worth experience in my life. The other places like Oshino Hakai village, Chureito Pagoda are beautiful. The guesthouse is in a good location, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I will recommend to my friends to visit this place if they visit Japan.Guest review byUyen - 8.0
Great city but only for a couple of days.
Great city but only for a couple of days. The lake was very nice. A lot of people go for hiking to the fuji mountain but we didn't. There is not a lot to do in the city if you don't plan any activities but still the view of the mountain was worth it. Have in mind that the mountain wasn't visible for the first 2 days we only saw it the last day before leaving as it was very cloudy and we were told that the mountain is only visible about 90 days of the year so have that in mind.Guest review byPanayiotisCyprus - 10.0

Ropeway and boat trip was good. We hired bikes from Jays as they shut later than the others and went to the Chureito Pagoda, Fujisan World Heritage Center, and then cycled round the lake stopping at Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum, Oishi Park and Yamanashi Gem Museum.Guest review byBerthaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Fujikawaguchiko is nice and quiet place, but little bit...
Fujikawaguchiko is nice and quiet place, but little bit boring. No nightlife, or great restaurants. Walking trails and roads overgroving with weeds. The town has lake, but no place to swim. City maitenance is poor. Connections with other places difficult. Public transport nonexistant. No hiking possibilities in the Japan Alps.Guest review byAnonymousEstonia

A beautiful view of Mt Fuji from my window and fortunately I was blessed with clear skys. It was a traditional Japanese Ryokan so obviously the room and facilities were not as a usual Western hotel but this was expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and had enough mattresses etc for a comfortable night's sleep. And a full Japanese breakfast was ready and waiting for me in the morning. We had a room with Western and Japanese room, with the fuji Mt view. We enjoyed our stay. The staff are very nice. If you have any ?, just ask. They speak good English and very helpful. Shuttle bus pick-up at anytime you arrive. Just go to the information centre, with 300 yen in hand, they will make a call for you to notify the hotel. Thank you for the lady at the reception desk. There is a nice sento style common bath at the top (!) floor from where you can see mount Fuji.
