Old house with not simply vintage style but real details. Love all the furniture and the wood stove at first sight. Nobu welcomed us with some nice herbal tea. She speaks fluent English and we had some nice conversations. She also recommended and gave us a ride to a nice public bath. What we cherished most is the special visit to Mr. Kawanaka, the local artist. It’s our pleasure to meet him and appreciate his artwork. Truly memorable journey. Thank you!

Great service and food. Iiyama line was suspended but they offered a shuttle from bus stop nearby. It really cheered me up with the real vibe of “yukiguni” and outdoor onsen when snow flowing over me.

I stayed at the hotel for the Fuji Rock Festival. Their location is just a few minutes' walk from Echigo Yuzawa, where you arrive from Tokyo and get on the shuttle for the festival to Naeba. The room is beautiful and very spacious, also super clean. There was free coffee, tea, and even free Yakult and ramen at certain hours. The hotel also had an onsen, which I was not able to take advantage of for this trip. Will definitely book here again if I'm heading back to the festival in the next years, even with the price.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations. The location is exceptional – just a few minutes drive from Echigo Yuzawa Station and Gala Ski Resort, making it convenient for those looking to hit the slopes. Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort is also right next door. For those looking to relax after a day on the slopes, the onsen is conveniently located next to the hotel, providing a perfect way to unwind. The property itself is cozy and welcoming, with a homely atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The heating system was very effective, ensuring a comfortable stay even during the colder months. The mountain and snow views from the hotel are absolutely stunning, providing a serene backdrop for your visit. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service. The owner and staffs are incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to make guests feel at home. They even offer a convenient station drop-off service, which was a thoughtful touch. Additionally, the snowboarding coach on-site was not only knowledgeable but also kind and patient, making for a great experience on the slopes.

The interior of the renovated old house was clean and very convenient. I was able to enjoy draft beer at the bar and had a great time.

The resort has great facilities. The spa is very spacious. The breakfast spread was also very good. If you drive like we do, there is ample carpark spaces. Not to mention, you could also choose to take train if you intend to drown some sake nearby.
