Lovely little coastal town.
Lovely little coastal town. We had two nights here which was just the right amount. The highlight was the beautiful coastal walk to Portofino and we then took the ferry back to see the coastline from the sea. Santa Margherita is a lovely pretty Italian Town.
Santa Margherita is a lovely pretty Italian Town. The train station is in the centre to enable further adventures in the area. Cinque Terra is forty minutes away by train and Portofino is accessible by ferry or approximately an hours walk.Guest review byhelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Very nice hotel in a good position.
Very nice hotel in a good position. Short walk to the beach, buses and ferry’s. Hotel is on a hill so expect an uphill walk back from town but it is quite easy (I’m 73). Lots of bars and restaurants in the centre. Bus (or walk for the energetic) to portofino. A bustling town full of character with a long promenade to explore. Ferries go regularly to both Portofino and Cinque Terre but its also nice to walk the coastal path around to Portofino.
