The restaurant evening meal isn't cheap but on our 1st visit the meal was fabulous, along with the service, which prompted us to book a 2nd night's meal there.... That wasn't so great, just as expensive but we were only able to choose from a much smaller menue, 4 starter dishes, only 2 main dishes, and a choice 3 desserts ! And sadly it wasn't great. However the breakfast was very good with plenty of choices, including tea,coffee and fruit juice on tap. The hotels pool, and pool bar/ coffee shop was fantastic. The room was nice, airy and relatively clean. The only exception being the rooms floor which was never cleaned/moped during our stay, which left us going to bed with dirty feet onto clean sheets. We were on a driving holiday, and parking around the hotel was an issue, however we had booked to park in the hotels underground car park, for the security of our vehicle and it's contents. It was a nice facility close to the beaches. There is a great gelato shop right across the street. It was quiet and very relaxing stay. As in all Italian cities there are lots of pizza restaurants. We did find a very quaint and nice restaurant within walking distance that was very enjoyable and very unique called Lo Scacciapensieri. The Restaurant inside is also worth a visit in evening. There was a small mistake with our passports, that could have been problematic for our flight home… but they put everything possible in motion to help us…and it worked! Do bare in mind that it's worth booking the restaurant opposite for food as it gets busy and was unfortunately full when we arrived.
