This remote holiday house is perfect for those who enjoy to be far off from touristy spots in Croatia - all the little extras (pool, jacuzzi, billard, kicker) never got the family bored. The 20 min drive to the next city is convenient. We used this place to explore Istria.

Everything was great, the host was responsive and very kind to us. The room was spotless, cozy and very well equipped. Absolutely recommend the place! It's incredibly convenient for a one night stay on the way to Slovenia and beyond.

Everything was great! A big room, with a balcony and a lot of quiet, very clean, super comfortable, with everything you need. The whole house is amazing, with lots of space outside, everything in order and taken care of to the smallest detail; it has also a parking space, so one doesn't even have to think about that! Very close to the highway! But the exceptional thing is the owner! Mrs. Nada is a beautiful and very caring lady, she agreed to welcome us very late because we stayed stuck for hours in the traffic on the highway. She made no trouble, in fact, she made us feel at home and took care of us as if we were her relatives, unbelievable! Yet, she always remained very discreet! A delicious sweet and savory breakfast for very few euros is not to be missed! In other words, go to the Mrvčić family, you will feel at home! If there were 100 stars, I would definitely give them!

I found this place free for a night the day before arriving, without any expectation (I just needed a place to sleep)... But it has been a very pleasant surprise. Surina Is a very kind host and the house is near the motorway and the Slovenian border coming from Trieste or Ljubljana: it's very useful to stop a night during the journey to southern Croatia, but should be very nice also for a longer staying. The swimming pool for me has been an unexpected gem. Near you can find a nice grill/pub when you can eat typical Croatian meat dishes, pizza or a lot of different things. I only regret I didn't experience the breakfast!

This was one of the best stays of my life. The hotel was very clean, staff incredibly attentive and helpful, and the food amazing. Thanks so much to Ivan, Vlado, Duško and other people I couldn’t catch their names, you made our stay truly memorable. We came with a dog and he was also treated in the best possible way! We will come back for sure some day as both the hotel and Opatija have a special place in our hearts now.
