It is a pleasant resort for a stay at the sea.
It is a pleasant resort for a stay at the sea. The marina is a pleasant place to walk and visit. There are many terraces/restaurants/taverns for dining. The nearby Galida beach is very long, with calm, clear water, with few stones. There are parking lots right next to the beach, under the shade of the pine trees. There is a tavern on the beach. Winds are specific in the area, but despite all that, the sea has no waves, it is good for swimming. There are not many places to buy souvenirs in the city. Karistos is a small coastal town that mostly serves holiday...
Karistos is a small coastal town that mostly serves holiday makers from Athens. There are some fantastic restaurants which you will only find if you look carefully on Google! The same goes for stunning beaches - we found them only through searching on Google-earth, renting a car and going in search of them! You will enjoy the interesting culture and history - it is worth the short trip up the very windy mountain/hill-side to mooch around the ruins of the old castle and the stunning views from the top. There is plenty to see and explore and renting your own car is highly recommended (the rental place called *Karistos Marine* - located very close to the Anastasia hotel was absolutely brilliant - so helpful, extremely reasonable and offered a great car which we took all over Evia.Guest review byDeborahUnited Kingdom

Beautiful room with a balcony and view straight out to the sea. There's a beach right across the road where we could use umbrellas, loungers and kayaks for free. The place is run by two brothers who were exceptionally helpful and kind. We had a big tasty breakfast every morning outside by the sea. Wonderfully appointed with everything you could need for a stay, it has a great view and a cool vibe. It is a great location to use as a base for all the great things to do in southern Evia. We liked the kitchen and rooftop deck and large windows. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very functional and clean. I booked the J-Suite which found good and cost was fair for this type of room. All services were top rated and the best thing (from my point of view) was the restaurant. The food was tasteful and delicious! The Managers & Personnel are high quality professionals and the whole experience is unique.
