Some of Yeovil is attractive (church area) but the rest is fairly run down. Very noisy nightclub near where we were on Saturday night until 4am…… Tambourino very nice Italian good. Very popular so Definately book. The Ilchester Arms in Ilchester very nice Sunday lunch. Swallow field is in a rural area quite nr Yeovil Not in Yeovil .. booking . Com has not placed the the venue in the correct geographical place . This gives an incorrect impression The actual site is wonderful miles of unspoilt countryside , farms and rural walks , brilliant for a place to bring dogs . There is a really excellent country park just next to the town. The town is quite small so easy to walk around. The station (Yeovil Junction) has a lovely coffee shop with home made sandwiches. The breakfast pack was such a lovely touch. I loved that there were bath robes and towels. Honestly, everything you might need was taken into consideration, even a fan for this time of year. Communication with Isobel was spot on, even down to spare batteries. It's literally just a 10 minute walk to the town centre plus local to nature. It was one of the most relaxing holidays I've had. Competitively priced and having good road links makes it easy for travelling. Located not too far from Yeovil means it’s only about 15 minutes from the town centre but has great countryside views and a lake behind the Inn.
