We have visited Weymouth many times over the years - it is a wonderful seaside town with many fine facilities. The beach is second to none, and the sea is clean and shallow. For families with children it is a great choice, but then it's a great choice for people of all ages.

Visit for a weekend and stay on the peninsula over the bridge for the old fishing village charm. Around the old harbour good evening hang outs. Walk to Nothe castle and admire the old town winding alleys. If you go when the weather is fine you will enjoy clear sea water swimming. The main town shopping area typical of seaside towns, a bit run down. If you enjoy golfing Lodmoor park. Good for a family weekend or a romantic weekend. If you are looking for action, take your cycles with you.

A good centre for either a beach holiday or for visiting the surrounding area. There is plenty of historical interest in the town particularly if you are interested in railways. The surrounding area provides good walking of the coastal path and the Downs. The Isle of Portland is particularly interesting, but visit more than just the lighthouse!

Everything was just perfect - if I could give 11 stars I would! Steph was the most welcoming host - her home was immaculately clean - the room had everything you could wish for and more! The breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh to order. We’ve been to Weymouth for many years and stayed in many hotels, B and B’s and guest houses and Steph’s place exceeds all of these by a million miles! Thank you Steph we will definitely be returning. Thank you also from Bentley our dog for making him feel welcome and for his breakfast too!

A short stay to celebrate my birthday, Richard & Teresa (the proprieters) made us very welcome opened up the upstairs lounge and gave us a bottle of bubbly and nibbles to celebrate. The hotel is themed throughout to Laurence of Arabia as a tribute to Teresa's great, great Uncle. We had a wonderful stay in Weymouth having returned after 55 years to the town where we got engaged.

Beautiful exterior. One of the most impressive buildings in Weymouth. It is a proper large scale hotel with night porter etc which I found reassuring being a single traveller. My single room was a good size with a really large bathroom. Much better than average single room in Weymouth. Super breakfast of poached eggs and smoked salmon.

Breakfast was outstanding. I’ve stayed in many hotels but the food in all of them did not compare with the View on the Terrace. Ali is an outstanding chef and a lovely person Bill was always pleasant and friendly, very nice chap and very knowledgeable of Weymouth and the surrounding area. Nothing was too much trouble

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Weymouth and had no problems at the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were out most of the time exploring Weymouth so did not make use of the restaurant and were pleased to discover an excellent Italian restaurant right opposite the hotel and almost on the lovely beach.
