The purpose of our visit was a family wedding, so we didn't have time to explore the town. However, we met many local residents and every one was kindness itself, often going the extra mile to help us. Shrivenham is a lovely town with some fine buildings and a host of facilities you would expect in a larger place and I look forward to returning to explore further. It is conveniently located for visiting the Cotswold villages and the Thames Valley

The hotel is centrally located in lovely Shrivenham with plenty of parking in front and at the rear, where there is a beer garden and terrace. We stayed in a quiet, ground floor room in the annexe to the main building, which was well equipped with a very modern bathroom. There was more than adequate storage with a large wardrobe and chests of drawers with bedside lighting. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Best of all was the welcome shown to us by the staff, who were attentive for the duration of our stay.

This hotel is located in the centre of Shrivenham high street and convenient to drive to Cotswold while offering a reasonable rate. There are plenty of parking at the rear of the hotel for the guests. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in is Barrington suite which offers a double bed and a sofa bed, perfectly for us with 2 young children and our dog.

Fantastic hosts, Colin and Lizzie made us so welcome. Our room was well appointed with everything we could need, and anything available just for asking. A pleasant walk to Shrivenham village for meals and supplies, and a beautiful rural outlook from our door.
