The attitude of the staff - always friendly and helpful. The room was small but for one person appropriate. Facilities within the room were extremely good. Although I would have preferred breakfast to be available, the choice and standard of restaurants in the immediate vicinity more than made up for this. Although disabled, I was able to walk to the hotel from the port. I was very impressed with the attitude of the locals - very helpful even when busy. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble.

A great hotel in St Peter Port in a very quiet residential area, in a close proximity to the harbour and bus station. Staff was very professional and helpful. I loved the hotel - it had a unique atmosphere. The only noise around was a bird song. Great views. Will definitely visit again.

Quite steep hills and narrow streets which add charm, but can be difficult for modern cars, which tend to be quite large. The Museum and Art Gallery in Candie Gardens are a bit out of the way, but well worth a visit

Lovely small town and we watched a regatta and an air show, so clearly a lot goes on - we were lucky but maybe could have checked events when booking. Buses from here go everywhere and drivers couldn't be more helpful - do get advice from Bus Shop next to terminus. Lots of interesting shops BUT very steep streets and lots of steps in old town - quaint and interesting but not for those challenged with walking. Lots of great places to eat - mainly on the seafront for us due to mobility issues, but did see others from the bus. Only one bad experience at the cafe near the bus terminus. All the boat trips go from here, but early so try and stay near the seafront to avoid early starts for trips! Boats do get booked up so book early, and be prepared with plan B as weather can stop sailings - it happened to us! Trip to Little Chapel recommended

Best to get hotel in town centre as access to round the island hop on/hop off bus and ferries to Sarn and Herm is on the quayside esplanade . Nice little town with a lot of small shops and restaurants. Bit disappointed that there weren’t many cafes or restaurants on the harbourside. German Occupation museum and German Naval Intelligence museum both worth a visit. Worth picking up a bus route and timetable from visitors centre as variety of routes available.

Colin is an excellent and welcoming host to the kind of bed and breakfast establishment that has been going out of style. The good-value rooms - I stayed in two different ones separated by two days on which he could not accommodate me - boast a fridge and microwave. The breakfasts are copious, and can include kippers! The property is a good walk from the old town of St Peter Port or a convenient bus ride. Colin’s assistant David also kindly drove me to the airport after my ferry to Jersey was cancelled.

Bit of a walk, some uphill, to/from centre of St Peter port but helped by complimentary minibus to the town and also complimentary round island tour ,driver very informative guide. Didn’t use the fitness centre/pool ( too busy travelling around Guernsey!).

The hotel is ideally situated on the coast, with superb sea views, yet is only 20 mins on a regular bus service to the centre of St Peter Port. The facilities are very good, the rooms are well kept and the public areas and grounds immaculately maintained. The staff are a well organised team, who work well together as a friendly group to make a stay here a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The hotel is in the middle of St Peter Port with no passing traffic so is quiet. We had room 311 with a double aspect which made it a very light room but no view. Very clean and en suite had a walk in shower which we requested. Restaurant very pretty and staff extremely pleasant.
