The room is comfy and the area is beautiful and quiet. There is a lovely church near by and a secluded beach. It is only about 15 minutes to the ferry for Skomer Island and we recommend breakfast at St. Ishmaels garden centre.

    The location was superb.

The location was superb. I loved the walk to the beach, the church and the graveyard. I loved that even the birds and wildlife seemed to be so tame! The colours, the silence, and the smells....wonderful. Travelling on my own, though, I do like the room to have a little technology so I can send pics to family and write my vlog. I totally understand that I am a lone traveller, and a couple or family may not have the same expectations. But I was discouraged by the lack of Wifi. The lack of phone signal is not the vendor's fault, but the advertised 'smart TV' and wifi that wasn't, was disappointing.

    · Beautiful location and wider setting in Pembrokeshire.

    · Beautiful location and wider setting in Pembrokeshire. Attractive building with thoughtful names for each that are respectful of local history and culture. Warm and cosy. Easy parking. Footpaths virtually outside the door ,with attractive village 10/15mins walk away.

St Ishmaels is a village close to a cove which we didn't visit. We stayed there as a great location for Skomer Island only 15 minutes to get to the ferry. The lanes are single track and slow to navigate if you meet other vehicles. The village has a local pub with a dinning room. Open every day but closes early on Sunday. We only visited because we were staying in the village at accommodation with its own parking. The pub car park is very small so parking is difficult. I think most people were walking to it.

Perfect escape from the hustle of nosey and arsey Southern...

Perfect escape from the hustle of nosey and arsey Southern Hampshire. Coming here you switch in to a relaxed state, appreciating the sounds and sights of the wildlife and the setting of the grounds. It's a perfect base if you wish to travel by foot along the local coastlines, or if you wish to drive around Pembrokeshire. The front room and bedroom in the Caradog are separated and it makes it feel homely and spacious, the bed is very comfy. As long as you do your research into where you can eat, I recommend the local Garden Centre for Breakfast and Lunch, and the Brook Inn for dinner, or explore the Griffin at Dale Beach. A lovely peaceful place to stay.

A lovely village with many interesting walks around it...

A lovely village with many interesting walks around it including an interesting cove (Monk Haven)about 10 minutes walk away down a steep hill. A great pity that the only pub is closed and up for sale. The garden centre just up the road was a nice surprise with friendly staff and a great cafe. The lanes leading to the village are very narrow so journeys are not speedy! We visited off-season so this was not a great problem. We had a good meal and a warm welcome at the Jubilee Inn at Marloes about 7 minutes away.
